Basic Kennel Information
Please note that a boarding trial is required prior to your dog’s stay at our facility.
Boarding trials are required for all dogs, both clients and non-clients, who have never boarded in our facility before. All dogs must pass a boarding trial to board, and there are no exceptions to this policy. A boarding trial is to be scheduled prior to your intended boarding dates. Plan to leave your pet with us for at least two hours when scheduling this appointment. You will be given the results of the assessment after the trial has been completed.
Thank you for considering Montgomery Animal Hospital for your pet’s lodging needs! We offer boarding for cats, dogs, and small exotics at our facility. We stand out from other boarding kennels because we are a fully functioning veterinary office with access to highly qualified doctors who are accessible if your pet needs care while boarding. We have temperature-controlled lodging areas that will keep your fur babies warm in the winter, and cool in the summer! We have dog runs and cages of varying sizes, and a separate space with kitty condos for your kitties to climb! Our building is also equipped with a multipurpose alarm system. We also offer day boarding for your pets if needed. We look forward to meeting you and your pet in the future!

Miscellaneous Kennel Information
Feeding:
We can accommodate feeding your pet as often as needed. If you are supplying your pet’s food, the only requirement is to separate your pet’s dry food in sandwich bags for each meal. You can bring your own canned food as well but be sure to write the amount of canned food per meal on the can in permanent marker. Be sure to label all (pre-bagged foods, and cans) with your pet’s first and last name. Be sure that your pet has enough pre-bagged food to last the entire boarding stay.
Additional Items for Boarding:
In addition to your pet’s food, you can bring additional items with them, and only two items will be accepted per pet. We do not allow dogs to have rawhides and will not accept any toys that we deem a choking hazard for your pet. Label all items with your pet’s first and last name. You can bring a bed as one of your pet’s additional items, but we are unable to clean them if they become soiled. The soiled bed will be placed in a bag and given to you at discharge. You can opt to have the bed thrown out if it becomes soiled. We cannot be responsible for any items brought with your pet so it is best not to bring items that you do not want to lose. We will provide fresh bowls of water, and clean linens for your pet each day.
Medications:
Your pets can be given their medication while boarding. Bring the medication in the original bottle, and make sure that you give specific instructions about how often, how much, and when your pet is given the medication. You are permitted to bring anything that is necessary to medicate your pet (syringes, pill pockets, cheese, etc.).
Make sure to give all morning meds prior to dropping your pet off for boarding, and to label all meds that need to be refrigerated. Also be sure that your pet has enough medication to last the entire boarding stay. If we need to provide additional prescription medication for your pet, there will be additional charges.
